Program Information
The 1st Steinbach Venture Company is part of Scouts Canada, a non-profit organization.
The mission of Scouting is to contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law, to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society.
Scouting is based on three principles; duty to God, duty to Others, and duty to Self.
The Venturer Promise
On my honour I promise that I will do my best to do my duty to God and the Queen, to help other people at all times, and to carry out the spirit of the Scout Law.
The Venturer Motto is "Challenge".
Last summer we spent six days canoeing and portaging over 120km of Quetico Provincial Park. We are currently building shortwave radios, as well as planning and fundraising for a five day scrambling expedition in Alberta's Rocky Mountains for next summer's trip.
